Bhanvi Bhardwaj from Nowshera was crowned Miss Universe Jammu and Kashmir 2025 at a special event held on June 15, 2025 at The Opulent Hotel by Ferns N Petals in New Delhi. She was crowned by Miss Universe India 2024, Rhea Singha. Bhanvi will now represent Jammu and Kashmir at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe India competition, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
Bhanvi Bhardwaj is a 23-year-old model and actor from Nowshera, a border town in Jammu & Kashmir. Standing 5’6” tall, she holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and is currently pursuing her final year of LLB at Mumbai University. A national-level karate player with a passion for dance, singing and acting, Bhanvi combines strength and creativity in everything she does. Growing up in a conflict-prone region, she witnessed the lack of basic necessities like healthcare, education and infrastructure. This inspired her to advocate for mobile health camps, disaster relief systems, accessible education and improved living conditions in rural and border areas. A polyglot, fluent in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Pahadi, Dogri, and Urdu, Bhanvi is determined to be a voice for the unheard and bring lasting change to communities often left behind.
In the coming months, she will be seen walking down the stage at the 2025 Miss Universe, representing Jammu and Kashmir. The competition is owned by one of the biggest beauty pageant organizations in the world – the Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd (popularly known as the Glamanand Group). The organization was established by its founder and president, Nikhil Anand in the year 2013 and gradually it became one of the leading beauty pageant producers in the world. At the conclusion of this year’s Miss Universe India competition, the reigning titleholder, Rhea Singha from Gujarat will crown her successor, who would later go onto represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition, scheduled to happen in the month of November in Thailand.
