Chaivalry Lartang crowned Miss Universe Meghalaya 2025

Chaivalry Lartang from Shillong was crowned Miss Universe Meghalaya 2025 at the state finals of the competition held on June 14, 2025 at Hotel Vivanta, Khyndailad in Shillong. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Miss Universe Meghalaya 2024, Bahun Nongrum. Chaivalry will now represent Meghalaya at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe India competition, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.

Chaivalry Lartang is a 22-year-old from Shillong, Meghalaya. A graduate in English, she stands 5'3" tall and brings her love for singing, dancing, and poetry to life with joy and purpose. Crowned Miss Shillong 2023 and 1st runner-up at Miss Meghalaya 2024, her journey in pageantry began with quiet self-doubt but blossomed into self-discovery and confidence. Once a shy girl in the background, she is now an empowered young woman committed to spreading love and unity through her advocacy, "Unite for Peace." By promoting non-violence, embracing diversity and empowering kindness, Chaivalry hopes to inspire youth across India to create meaningful, positive change in their communities.

In the coming months, she will be seen walking down the stage at the 2025 Miss Universe, representing Meghalaya. The competition is owned by one of the biggest beauty pageant organizations in the world – the Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd (popularly known as the Glamanand Group). The organization was established by its founder and president, Nikhil Anand in the year 2013 and gradually it became one of the leading beauty pageant producers in the world. At the conclusion of this year’s Miss Universe India competition, the reigning titleholder, Rhea Singha from Gujarat will crown her successor, who would later go onto represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition, scheduled to happen in the month of November in Thailand.
