Vaishnavi Thakur crowned Miss Universe Goa 2025

Vaishnavi Thakur was crowned Miss Universe Goa 2025 at the state finals of the competition held on May 25, 2025 at the Hotel Four Points by Sheraton, Navi Mumbai. Vaishnavi will now represent the state of Goa at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe India competition, scheduled to take place in the coming days. Vaishanavi is a 20-year-old entrepreneur, currently based in Pune. A graduate in Economics, she is passionate about creating space for inclusivity and acceptance. Inspired deeply by her aunt, who is intellectually disabled, Vaishanavi has grown up understanding the true meaning of unconditional love. Her personal experiences have shaped her commitment to advocating for individuals on the autism spectrum. Through her work and voice, she aims to challenge stigma and promote a world where every individual is seen, heard, and valued just as they are. She believes that love isn’t about changing people — it’s about changing society to make room for everyone. Vaishanavi is a trilingual, fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi, and enjoys skating, karate, and drawing.

In the coming days, she will be seen walking down the stage at the 2025 Miss Universe India contest, representing the state of Maharashtra. The competition is owned by one of the biggest beauty pageant organizations in the world – the Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd (popularly known as the Glamanand Group). The organization was established by its founder and president, Nikhil Anand in the year 2013 and gradually it became one of the leading beauty pageant producers in the world. At the conclusion of this year’s Miss Universe India competition, the reigning titleholder, Rhea Singha from Gujarat will crown her successor, who would later go onto represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition, scheduled to happen in the month of November in Thailand.
