Kelülü Dawhuo from Kohima was crowned Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 at the state finals of the competition held on June 10, 2025 at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma, in Kohima. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Miss Universe Nagaland 2024 and Miss Universe India 2024 (fourth runner-up), Ruopfuzhano Whiso. Kelülü will now represent Nagaland at the upcoming edition of Miss Universe India competition, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
Kelülü Dawhuo, fondly known as Lulu, is a 19-year-old student from Kohima, Nagaland, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall. With roots in Thenyizu village under Phek district, she was raised by her grandparents and inspired by her late mother - a strong, selfless single parent who worked tirelessly to give her a better life. Losing her mother to cancer at a young age taught Lulu resilience, compassion and strength. Deeply connected to her community and shaped by the simplicity of village life, she proudly carries her roots in everything she does. A talented singer and an advocate for girls' education under the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign, Lulu has already earned recognition as Miss Kohima 2024 and Miss Nagaland 2nd Runner-Up 2024. Her journey is a tribute to where she comes from and the people who have believed in her every step of the way.
In the coming months, she will be seen walking down the stage at the 2025 Miss Universe, representing Nagaland. The competition is owned by one of the biggest beauty pageant organizations in the world – the Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd (popularly known as the Glamanand Group). The organization was established by its founder and president, Nikhil Anand in the year 2013 and gradually it became one of the leading beauty pageant producers in the world. At the conclusion of this year’s Miss Universe India competition, the reigning titleholder, Rhea Singha from Gujarat will crown her successor, who would later go onto represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition, scheduled to happen in the month of November in Thailand.
