Akshat Vijayvargiya from Rajasthan has been selected as one of the national finalists for the 2026 Mr. India Universe competition. The national finale of the competition is scheduled to take place later this year. At the culmination of the event, the new Mr. India Universe winner will be chosen.
Akshat Vijayvargiya is an entrepreneur, businessman, content creator and sportsperson from Ajmer, Rajasthan. An MBA degree holder with a strong inclination towards entrepreneurship, Akshat is currently involved in shaping his business venture while also being associated with his family’s business. His journey reflects a combination of sporting discipline, academic learning, entrepreneurial ambition and a constant desire for personal growth.
Born and brought up in Ajmer, Akshat developed an early understanding of the importance of hard work, respect and remaining grounded. Sport became an important part of his formative years, with volleyball emerging as one of his strongest areas of interest. His dedication to the sport took him to the national level, while he also had the opportunity to represent Rajasthan at the cluster level, where he secured third position. These experiences exposed him to the demands of competitive sport and taught him valuable qualities such as discipline, teamwork, resilience and the ability to perform under pressure. More importantly, volleyball helped him understand that success is not determined only by the final result, but also by the consistency, effort and mindset invested along the way.
After completing his education, Akshat found himself at an important stage in determining the direction of his professional life. While his parents initially encouraged him to pursue a conventional career through employment, Akshat had developed a clear interest in entrepreneurship and wanted to build something of his own. His mother, meanwhile, encouraged him to pursue an MBA. Although he was initially hesitant, given his already established intention of entering the business world, he chose to follow her advice and completed his Master of Business Administration.
The decision subsequently proved to be an important milestone in his professional development. His MBA provided him with an understanding of management, finance, marketing, strategy and decision-making, giving him a structured foundation that would later become valuable in his entrepreneurial journey. With this academic background behind him, Akshat entered the business world. As someone relatively new to the industry, he continues to develop his understanding of the market, customers, operations and the practical challenges involved in running a business. While his formal education has equipped him with theoretical and managerial knowledge, his experience as an entrepreneur is allowing him to learn the realities of business through practical experience.
This transition has also shaped Akshat’s approach towards life and decision-making. His journey has taught him the importance of having the confidence to choose his own direction while remaining open to the advice and guidance of those who genuinely have his best interests at heart. He believes that taking the first step is essential, but the willingness to continue learning after taking that step is equally important. This outlook has made continuous self-improvement an important part of his personality, and he approaches his journey with the understanding that there is always more to learn, experience and accomplish.

Mr. India Universe is a national competition for men in India. It is organised by Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the Indian franchise holder of the globally renowned Miss Universe competition. The event is spearheaded by its founder and chairman, Nikhil Anand, and serves as a platform for aspiring male models and personalities from across the country. Following a nationwide audition process, some of India's most talented and promising contestants have been selected to compete in this year's national finale. Before the grand finale, the finalists will undergo an intensive series of grooming and training sessions designed to enhance their confidence, communication skills, personality and stage presence. The contestants will arrive at the finale venue, where they will participate in a schedule of official photoshoots, pre-finale activities, rehearsals and a range of preliminary events leading up to the grand finale. At the culmination of the competition, the reigning Mr. India Universe, Bishan Madappa from Karnataka, will ceremonially relinquish his title and award his successor.
