Meet Naman Thakkar, the national finalist of Mr. India Universe 2026

Naman Thakkar from Gujarat has been selected as one of the national finalists for the 2026 Mr. India Universe competition. The national finale of the competition is scheduled to take place later this year. At the culmination of the event, the new Mr. India Universe winner will be chosen.

Naman Thakkar is an entrepreneur, aspiring model and student from Gujarat, currently based in Mumbai. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialisation in Logistics and is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi. Passionate about business, fitness, outdoor sports, and modelling, Naman has built a profile that combines athletic excellence with entrepreneurial ambition. A state-level basketball player and a district-level 200-metre sprint champion for three consecutive years, he credits sports for instilling discipline, teamwork, and resilience. His entrepreneurial journey has seen him explore multiple industries, beginning with real estate brokering before expanding into logistics and international business. His logistics company has received recognition at an international expo, while his work has also earned accolades in South Africa and Vietnam. Alongside building his business ventures, he is actively working towards establishing an international enterprise in Dubai while pursuing opportunities in the fashion and modelling industry. His selection as a Mr. India Universe Finalist marks another significant milestone in his journey of continuous self-development.

Naman's life has been defined by perseverance and an unwavering commitment to growth. A setback early in life, when he failed his Class 12 examinations, became the catalyst for developing resilience and a stronger work ethic rather than limiting his ambitions. Over the years, he also recovered from a hand fracture, survived a serious accident, and overcame the disappointment of losing a major business deal by rebuilding the same financial success within a month through determination and hard work. These experiences strengthened his belief that setbacks are temporary and that true success comes from consistently moving forward. One of his proudest personal achievements was purchasing his first bike through his own efforts, symbolising the rewards of patience and persistence. Looking ahead, Naman aspires to build a multinational company while establishing himself in the modelling industry. Guided by strong family values and a belief in discipline, humility, and calculated risk-taking, he hopes to inspire others to embrace challenges, step beyond their comfort zones, and recognise that success is ultimately defined not by titles or trophies, but by the courage to rise stronger after every setback.

Mr. India Universe is a national competition for men in India. It is organised by Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the Indian franchise holder of the globally renowned Miss Universe competition. Before the grand finale, the finalists will undergo an intensive series of grooming and training sessions designed to enhance their confidence, communication skills, personality and stage presence. The contestants will arrive at the finale venue, where they will participate in a schedule of official photoshoots, pre-finale activities, rehearsals and a range of preliminary events leading up to the grand finale. At the culmination of the competition, the reigning Mr. India Universe, Bishan Madappa from Karnataka, will ceremonially relinquish his title and award his successor.
