Parminder Singh from Punjab has been selected as one of the national finalists for the 2026 Mr. India Universe competition. The national finale of the competition is scheduled to take place later this year. At the culmination of the event, the new Mr. India Universe winner will be chosen.
Parminder Singh is a student, aspiring model and digital content creator from Punjab. Born in Mehatpur and raised in Village Bulanda near Mehatpur, he is currently based in Bulanda while pursuing a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering after completing his Senior Secondary Education in Commerce. Fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and English, he has developed a diverse range of interests including fitness, fashion, drawing, sports, travelling, reading, creative content creation, and continuous self-development. A quick learner with a strong sense of adaptability, Parminder has consistently focused on personal growth alongside his academics. His achievements include receiving the Top Student Award during his school years for academic performance and overall excellence, while his commitment to fitness and creativity has laid the foundation for his aspirations in the modelling industry.
Parminder's journey is one of resilience, self-discovery and continuous transformation. As a child, he was quiet and reserved, often struggling with low self-confidence, poor communication skills, unhealthy lifestyle habits, and body shaming because of his physique. A seemingly ordinary comment about his weight during his school years became the catalyst for a remarkable personal transformation. Through consistent training, better nutrition, and meaningful interactions with people, he gradually built confidence, improved his communication skills, and developed a stronger understanding of himself. Along the way, he also overcame recurring health challenges, including jaundice, experiences that further strengthened his resilience and positive outlook on life. Today, he is proud of the transformation he has achieved, both physically and mentally, and finds it especially rewarding that people who once doubted him now seek his guidance on fitness and self-improvement. Looking ahead, Parminder aspires to build a successful career in the modelling and creative industry while inspiring others through discipline, professionalism, and lifelong self-improvement. He believes true success is not about proving others wrong, but about continuously becoming the best version of oneself and using that journey to create a meaningful impact on society.
Mr. India Universe is a national competition for men in India. It is organised by Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the Indian franchise holder of the globally renowned Miss Universe competition. The event is spearheaded by its founder and chairman, Nikhil Anand, and serves as a platform for aspiring male models and personalities from across the country. Following a nationwide audition process, some of India's most talented and promising contestants have been selected to compete in this year's national finale. Before the grand finale, the finalists will undergo an intensive series of grooming and training sessions designed to enhance their confidence, communication skills, personality and stage presence. The contestants will then arrive at the finale venue, where they will participate in a schedule of official photoshoots, pre-finale activities, rehearsals and a range of preliminary events leading up to the grand finale. At the culmination of the competition, the reigning Mr. India Universe, Bishan Madappa from Karnataka, will ceremonially relinquish his title and award his successor.
